Parent Workshop:
Our workshop is made up of eight 90 minutes sessions which include the following:
Lesson 1: Socializing and social pressure.
- Today’s socialization in a child/adolescent world.
- Different types of friendships.
- Need for belonging, social pressure, and development of positive relational skills.

Lesson 2: Myths and realities of bullying and common school conflicts.
- Statistics on the prevalence of bullying and cyberbullying in the world and in the United States.
- Differential diagnosis between bullying and common school conflicts.
- Tools and strategies to recognize and start preventing bullying and cyberbullying.

Lesson 3: Bullying, social networks and technology.
- Identification of your child’s role within the dynamics of bullying and cyberbullying.
- Practical and effective prevention strategies for bullying and cyberbullying.
- Digital communication and social relationships among today’s adolescents. (ICTs, emojis, digital platforms, etc.).
- The dangers of social network’s misuse.

Lesson 4: Different parenting styles.
- Presentation of the different parenting styles and their characteristics.
- How our children grow and develop towards adulthood depending on each parenting style.
- An overview of the best parenting practices.

Lesson 5: Different upbringing styles.
- Presentation of the different styles and their characteristics.
- Identification of the role played by parents based on their upbringing style.
- Current information on which upbringing style fosters children with positive leadership characteristics in today’s world.

Lesson 6: How to be a significant figure in your child’s world.
- Strategies to achieve effective communication.
- Strategies to strengthen the parent-child bond.
- The importance of the home-school team in the education and development of children and adolescents.
Lesson 7: Dialogue with the school´s principal.
Lesson 8: Closing session and delivery of participation diplomas.
